Registration Details

- Course Format:Blended Learning includes7.5 hours of online coursework(must be completedbeforethe first in-person session)
- Location:Paul Nelson Aquatic Center, 620 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria, CA
Bring printed or digital proof of online coursework completion to the first in-person class.
In-Person Training Schedule
Participants must attendall five sessions in full to be eligible for certification.
- Friday, April 25 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM(1-hour lunch break)
- Saturday, April 26 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM(1-hour lunch break)
- Sunday, April 27 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM(1-hour lunch break)
- Saturday, May 3 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM(1-hour lunch break)
- Sunday, May 4 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM(1-hour lunch break)
Prerequisites for Enrollment
To qualify for the course, participants must:
- Beat least 15 years oldby the last day of training (May 4)
- Successfully complete a lifeguard course swimming skills test, conducted on the first day of in-person training (April 25)
What Youll Be Certified In
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive certifications valid fortwo years in:
- Lifeguarding
- First Aid
- CPR/AED for Lifeguards
- Bloodborne Pathogens
These certifications meet national safety standards and prepare candidates for employment in pools, aquatic centers, and other recreation facilities.
